why is CNG less expensive than gasoline or diesel  ?

Petrol (or gasoline, depending on where you are in the world) is more technically known as petroleum distillate. Getting it out of crude oil involves a rather lengthy and expensive process to distill it, and all the production costs get passed to the consumer. CNG on the other hand, requires far less processing, and is vastly more common than gasoline, resulting in a lower price.

CNG [ compresed natural gas] is made from nature. But gasoline and disel is obtained through mining and is non renewable and can get exhausted soon so we must save fossil fuels for our better future till we are finding another ways to produce enegry.

cng is less expensive because  petroleum can be made from dead decaying matter such as bodies of animals and plants.While cng can be made from air

Petroleum compared to CNG needs a longer and more expensive distillation. CNG is a very abundant gas compared to petroleum therefore reducing its cost!!!

CNG is cheaper than petroleum and natural gas because it requires less processing and transportation cost is much less than petrol and natural gas. Moreover it can be transported through pipes. Government also promote use of CNG as it is cleaner fuel and said to be eco-friendly.
