Why is colour of single rbc pale yellow and their group appears red..?

The single cell appears to be pale yellow while their group appears to be red because of the phenomenon that takes place in blood in which single cells fuse togather side by side to form rouleaux of some length. Thus, viewing group of cells side by side gives them prominent red colour which otherwise appears to be yellow when viewed singly.

A single red blood cell really is red!
But if you are looking at a single one, it is undoubtedly magnified as much as possible, which seems to "dilute" the red color.
