Why is debate important?

Dear Student,
For progress in a society, we need to allow dissent to be expressed. Usually, because people come from varying life experiences, polite conversation in the form of logical explanation is required. This is called a debate.
It helps in understanding the problems and the pros and cons of a situation.
It helps to achieve perfection at a given event.
It also helps in understanding the intricacies of a problem.
It makes us realise that what might appear as a pleasant condition is a pathetic situation for others.
