why is dorsal root ganglion not a part of knee jerk reflex

Hi Pranjal,
Please find below the solution to the asked query:

The dorsal root ganglion is the bunch of nerves present on the dorsal or posterior root of spinal cord. These bunch of nerves have cell bodies of sensory neurons that bring messages to spinal cord from various sense organs.

The dorsal root ganglion is present in the knee jerk reflex. However, it does not involve interneurons.
The knee jerk reflex is monosynaptic reflex arc in which sensory or afferent neurons directly joins or synapses with the motor or efferent neuron in the spinal cord. There is no interneuron involved.

Hope this information will clear your doubts about the knee jerk reflex.
