Why is fuel oil better than coal ?

Oil is better than coal because-

1. Oil has a higher calorific value.
2. Oil is a cleaner fuel.
3. Oil when burnt, does complete combustion combustion whereas coal produces                 poisonous gases like carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide etc.
