Why is Go phase called the quiesent phase?

Dear student,
The Go phase is called as the quiescent stage because in this stage
the cell is neither diving nor it is preparing itself to divide It
is also called as the distinct quiescent stage because this step
occurs outside the cell cycle phases For example, the nerve cell
and heart muscle cells enters the Go phase when they attain
maturity or when they become differentiated Another example is of
multinucleated muscle cells that dk not further undergo cytokinesis
and enter into the Go phase
