Why is it not advisable to sieve wheat flour?

sieving is the method to separate bran from flour due to different sizes of the grain. In flour wheat bran is also present. Bran is rich in nutrients like proteins, vitamins and minerals and dietary fibre. It provides roughage and is a useful part of food. The flour loses its nutritional value when separated from bran.So sieving of flour is not advisable.
