Chendru, an elder from village Nandrasa, said that Gunda Dhur had flying powers, who had become prominent figure in the Bastar rebellion who esacped ​and the  British could never capture him.
The rebellion in the village of Bastar , marked the victory of the villagers as a result the work on reservation was suspended and the area was reduced to half

Gunda Dhur is said to have flying powers because the British could not capture him even after suppressing the Revolt of Bastar. The accounts of the revolt on pg.92 show that the common people of Bastar felt betrayed by Gunda Dhur because they had to suffer and hide in creepy places. This also reflects the superstitious society suring 1910.
