Why is it so that Salamander can regenerate its any body part but human beings can not do this?

Humans also have the ability to regenerate some parts such as skin, muscles, etc; however, this phenomenon is much more advanced in lower organisms. The regenerated parts of  the body are not generally same as the original. Example, the tail of lizard contains a vertebrae which is replaced by a cartilaginous tube in the regenerated tail.
