why is low temperature favourable for physisorption?

Physisorption is an exothermic process. Rate of exothermic processes decreases with increase in temperature.

Forces acting between adsorbate and andsorbent are weak van der Waal’s forces therefore this type of adsorption can be easily reversed by heating or decreasing the pressure.
