why is melting of ice to form water considered as physical change

Melting of ice is a physical change because no new substance is being formed, the only change that is occuring  is in the physical sate i.e,  from solid it changed to liquid.

When ice is melt to form water is a physical change because the state of the substance is same inicethat is water. It has one more reason to become a physical change because it is A REVERSIBLE CHANGE.
