why is ocean water of limited use of humans ? what makes it a resource.

Dear Student.
Please find below the solution to the asked query.

Ocean water is not fit for human use due to the high salt content. It contains about 10,000-35,000 ppm of dissolved salts. Such a large amount of salt can cause dehydration if used for drinking purposes. Sea and ocean water is unfit for bathing and washing purposes also as soaps are unable to produce lather and hence works ineffectively in saline water.

Ocean water is an important resource as it is responsible for climate changes. Ocean water is also a source of food and valuable minerals. Ocean water also helps in maintaining water cycle.
