WHY IS THE IMAGE FORMED ON THE PIN HOLE CAMERA SCREEN,INVERTED?

We know that light travels in a straight line.

Refer to the fig. above, the ray of light travelling from the top of the tree will reach the point M' on the screen and the ray of light travelling from the bottom of the tree will reach the point N'. Thus the image formed is inverted.
