why is the sun very hot and moon very cold
Very good answer Aarush. Keep it up !
The sun is a source of heat energy due to the nuclear process inside the star. The production of energy inside the star keeps the temperature very high. But in case of moon, it gets energy from the sunlight most of which is reflected by it so it is cold. Also due to absence of atmosphere, there is no even distribution of heat energy, so there is non-uniform temperature on the moon.
