WHY IS WATER KNOWN AS :BLUE GOLD"

Water is known as blue gold because it is very much important for our survival. It is not justified to compare it with gold because we can live without gold , but not without water. Just to show its preciousness and its apparent blue colour under the sky, it is known as blue gold.
