it is difficult to cut vegetables from blunt knife because area of knife is large when we acts force on knife then, pressure distributed. pressure=Area/pressure
  • 2
Because the blunt knife has a large area of contact
  • 3
a blunt knife has larger surface area than a sharp one. Hence force applied will have its effect on larger area causing it difficult to cut vegetables.
  • 2
It is difficult to cut vegetables from blunt end of knife because of larger area of contact so lesser the pressure because area of contact is inversely proportional to pressure
Thanks
  • 3
because a blunt knife has larger area = less net pressure
  • 2
because the area in contact is greater which leads to lesser effect of pressure
