Why Lymphoid tissue are present in Caecum?

Lymphoid tissues called GALT (gut associated lymphoid tissue) are found in the intestine that supports the growth of beneficial bacterial which resist the growth of harmful bacteria in the intestine as the intestine provides a good medium for the growth of harmful bacteria. Due to these reasons lymphoid tissues are present in the caecum to prevent the growth of harmful bacteria and boost our immune system.
