Why map is a bad example?(An elementary classroom in a slum)

as they are living in slums, they have never seen the world shown in the map, so they may have temptation to steal that, so the map is bad example.

Basically the second stanza of this poem deals with the contrast between the children 's dreary situation and the 'outside world ' which they cannot be a part of due to their unfortunate condition. The maps on the walls of the classroom show the children all the beautiful places (like the Tyrolese valley) around the world. In a way, the maps are taunting the children; showing them a world which is completely different from theirs and one which they can only dream of seeing and experiencing. Hence the map is being a 'bad example'; tempting the children to want something they can never be a part of.

The openhanded map was drawn by the people in power elaborating about a world of progress and development, hence ignoring the pitiable condition of the slum dwellers. It is a bad example as instead of paving way for prosperity, it  tempts the children to steal.

Map,beatiful tyrol valleys ,sky crappers posted on the wall of elimentary slum symbolise power and prosterity and such things stands in a sheer contrast to the empoverised gloomy and insolvent life of the slum children as they always lead their life in despair and despondence unlike alead sections of society

I think the map shows the brighter world and beautiful place like tyrolese valley and this world is out of reach of poor childrens of poverty stricken area so the children can only dream of seeing and wanted to get by stealing

The map is called a bad example for the children because it does not include their world of narrow and dirty lanes of the slum.
