why [Ni(NH3)4]2+ has tetrahedral geometry?Explain with vbt.

Atomic Number of Nickel = 28
  Electronic configuration in ground state  = 3d10 4s2 4p0
 Electronic Configuration in +2 Oxidation state = 3d10 4s0 4p0

As 4 NH3 molecules are forming coordinate bond with N2+,then,

So,sp3 hybridised Ni2+ will have tetrahedral geometry.

Ni needs four empty orbitals for the four nh3 and undergoes hybridisation. Since ammonia is weak field ligand spin pair will not occur in Ni's hybrid orbital resulting in high spin 4dsp2 hybrid orbitals which corresponds to tetrahedral geometry acc to vbt
