Why Plasma is considered as Alkaline and non- living Substance?

Dear student,

Plasma is the yellow coloured liquid portion of blood which is formed in Bone marrow. Water alone forms about 90% to 92% of the plasma. Solids form about 8% of the plasma. It is slight alkaline with pH 7.40 as it contains immense number of ions, organic and inorganic molecules. It transports nutrients to the various parts of the body in the dissolved form and also carries wastes materials generated in the various parts of the body to the excretory organs to be excreted.
