Why purvanchal Himalayas are covered by dense vegetation

Dear student,

Here is the answer:

Mountains along the eastern boundary of India are called the Purvanchal. They comprises the Patkai hills, the Naga hills, the Manipur hills and the Mizo hills. They are  covered with dense forests because"
  1. They face the rain bearing winds that receive maximum amount of precipitation.
  2. They receive more sunshine too because they are close to the Tropic of Cancer, which lies below the southern slopes of Himalayas resulting in the growth of dense and thick forests within this region.
