Why resources are limited in nature.

Dear Student

Most natural resources are limited. Like fossil fuels, minerals and metal ores.

Resources are scarce because we are using them indiscriminately. Once these are used, the energy trapped in them is released and they take many years to get replenished.

For example, we must plan the use of oil because it is a scarce resource. If used indiscriminately, it will run out quickly.

It is essential to minimise the environmental impact of the use of resources. Indiscriminate use of natural resources like forests and minerals can lead to adverse effects like environmental degradation, pollution and global warming.  These cannot be generated very quickly.
