Why salt solution is a good conductor of electricity?

Dear Student

Salt solution is a good conductor of electricity. Salt  solution is an ionic solution, and those mobile ions can act as charge carriers. The mobility of the ions allows an ionic solution to support current flow.

Pure water is poor conductor of electricity as there is a inter-molecular action between two H2O(Water) and so it can't produce H+ ions in water. So pure water is bad conductor of electricity.
