why should forests be conserved ?????

Forests should be conserved as they help in maintaining the ecological balance. Humans & animals directly or indirectly depend on forests for their various needs. Forests provide us various useful products like:-Plywood, fuel wood. They are also the source of rubber, gum and some medicinal products. Forests constitute the natural habitat for a large number of animals. In nature also, forests help in keeping the climate of an area cool, they absorb rain water and helps in prevention of floods.  So if there are no forest the entire balance of ecosystem will get disturbed.
