Why should the qauntity of Plants and Animals remain in balance? ans quickly

@Anindya:- You can refer to the answer provided by your friends. Although I would like to add a point to it-

Both plants and animals are part of our ecosystem which are interdependent on each other & on other components also. If any of these two will either increase or decrease it will result in complete disturbance of ecological balance.

In order to maintain the balance of Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide

For all living organisms, OXYGEN & CARBON DIOXIDE are the 2 most important gases in our atmosphere.

Animals consume OXYGEN during the process of RESPIRATION.

Plants consume CARBON DIOXIDE & produce their food. This process is called PHOTOSYNTHESIS.

During the process, water is also used & OXYGEN is released in the environment.

Thus, plants & animals are important to maintain a balance of the respiratory gases in the environment.
