why statististical data in wrong hands can be dangerous?

If statistical data goes in wrong hands, then it can prove to be dangerous. This is because there is a high probability that they can be misused, if not calculated properly or if manipulated to derive results as per the user's discretion. In other words, the use of statistical tools may give misleading results if the tools are not chosen carefully or if the calculation is not done properly. Also, personal bias of the investigator can effect the results severely.
