WHY THALLOPHYTES WERE NOT CONSIDERED IN THE CLASSIFICATION OF PLANT KINGDOM DURING OUR CLASS ON FOUNDATION??

Dear student

Kindly mention about which foundation classes you talking about, so that we can provide you with meaningful help.

Thallophyta are a group of plants in which the plant body is not differentiated into roots, stems, and leaves. Plants belonging to the division algae and Bryophyta are collectively known as Thallophytes. These plants are mostly aquatic or are found in moist, damp places.   Spores are produced as a result of fertilization. A few examples are Spirogyra, Cladophora, Riccia , Anthoceros, Marchantia etc.

They are classified as plants in five kingdom classification.

Hope this information will clear your doubts about the thallophytes.
Regards
