Why the bond angle of XeO3 is 103°?

Dear Student
On the basis of VSEPR theory structure of XeO3 is tetrahedral but due to presence of one lone pair of electron we can say overall it has distorted pyramidal structure and this gives the bond angle 103.It is illustrated in the following diagram:-


Wel you can see in the diagram that due to the lone pair the geometry gets distorted and this changes the bond angle to 103.
