WHY THE SOWING OF SEEDS BY SEED DRILL IS BETTER THAN BROADCASTING METHOD?

Sowing of seeds by seed drill is better than broadcasting method because :

1.The seed drill sows the seeds uniformly at apporiate distance and depths.

2.The seeds ensures that seeds get covered by the soil after sowing .This prevents the damage caused by birds.

3.Sowing , by using a seed drill , saves time and labour.

But by broadcasting method the seeds are scattered over the fields by hand . This

method is not efficent because it cannot ensure proper spacing between the seeds

or help to sow them at right depth.
