Why the value of number increases as we move left to right??
Dear Student,
When we move to the left on a number line then the value decreases and while moving to the right it increases.
When we move to the left on a number line then the value decreases and while moving to the right it increases.
Number line is used to represent the numbers graphically. The numbers on it are marked off at equal distances from each other.
To draw a number line, we take a line and mark a point on it, labelling it as 0. Then, we mark the points to the right of zero at equal intervals and label them as 1, 2, 3 …, as follows:
