why thermous aquaticus is imp in the feild of biotechnology?????????

Thermus aquaticus is a bacteria that lives in hot springs. It produces an important enzyme known as Taq polymerase.  In order to copy DNA and amplify it using the polymerase chain reaction (PCR), an enzyme DNA polymerase is needed which is active at high temperature. The DNA polymerase of Thermus aquaticus, called Taq polymerase is a thermostable DNA polymerase and is critically important for DNA amplification and a fundamental component of PCR uses in the biotechnology.
