why tin can are used to store food instead of iron can

tin can are used  for storing food beacuse the iron can  spoils the food . so I,am advising every to use tin can

  • -5

when stored in the iron can, the acid content in the food reacts with the iron and spoils the food. while the tin can doesnot spoil the food.

  • -5

Since iron is more reactive than tin so it can reacts with the acids present in food so   tin cans are used to store food instead of iron cans.

Give me thumbs up.

because iron gets rusted very soon and thus spoils the food.

Tin cans are not made entirely of tin, and the name "tin can" would be more accurate if it were "tinned can". The can is actually made of steel, plated on the outside with tin. The steel gives the can strength, and the tin plating helps to protect the steel from rusting. As your question indicates, there are situations in which the tin is not entirely successful in preventing rust.

Aluminum cans are more naturally resistant to corrosion, and are also more easily made, because aluminum is more easily formed into a can than steel is.

best of luck for exams!!!

when stored in the iron can, the acid content in the food reacts with the  iron and spoil the food. while the tin does not spoils the food and it does not react with the food containing acid. Example:- Pickles(achaar) are stored in tin can because pickle contains acid which can react with iron

because if use tin cans the food will remain good for a long time
  • -8
As per the reactivity series tin can is less reactive than iron that`s why food is stored in tin can rather than iron containers.
  • -4
iron is very reactive as compared to tin
  • -4
Foods are stored in Tin Cans because, Iron Cans get rusted very soon and spoil the food.
  • 2
Iron gets rusted easily by the reaction of Water and Iron Oxide. This reaction is harmful if its particles are taken  by mistake by humans while eating it will lead to various diseases. That is why tin cans are more suitable for storing food.
  • -1
tin dose not get corrode thus iron get rusted
  • -4
Food should not be stored in iron cans because iron reacts with air and moisture and get rusted which will spoil the food soon...
Tin cans do not react with the moisture present in the air and keeps the food fine for a longer time
  • -3
Because tin are disposable
  • -4
Because iron can will rusted in the moisture but the steel not.
  • -4
Effect of electric current?
  • -7
because iron gets rusted very fast and spoils the food

  • -6
iron get rusted easily
  • -4
Tin cans are used inspite of iron cans because the iron cans are rusted and make the food spoil.
  • -1
Tin cans, used for storing food, are made by electroplating tin onto iron. Tin is less reactive than iron. Thus, food does not come into contact with iron and is protected from getting spoilt.
  • -2
Because food containing moisture will make it rust. but tin does not get rusted.

  • -1
Because tin cans are easy to open
  • -1
We can store food in a plastic tin because it does not react with mosture and air thus it won't spoil the food regards joel
  • -1
Water contain minerals bases and salts which makes it as a good conductor of electricity so we should not touch a electric applines by wet hands

This is because iron can , can not be washed as it will form rust on it . But in case of tin it does not happen so.
  • -1
Iron vessels and containers used for storing good need to be plated with tin . Tin being less reactive with food and it does not rust so food is protected from getting spoilt
  • -1
Bottom of utensils ,tin can , kitchen gas burner, ornaments ,bath taps, etc.are some things .
  • -1
As iron is more reactive so if we kept food in a iron can it can be spoilt.
  • -1
Becoz iron can rusted soon other than tin can...
  • -2
Because he has not destroy by the natures effect
  • -1
The food will stay for longer period
In time can

Tin is less reactive to any food items. It keeps food fresh. Besides, iron gets rusted. So, to prevent rusting tin is plated over iron.

Ton is less reactive than iron and prevents food packed in them from getting spoiled. Food in iron can get spoiled. That's why tin is electorate on iron cans...........

Foods are stored in Tin Cans because, Iron Cans get rusted very soon and spoil the food.

Tin cans?are thin electroplated on?iron. These?tin cans are used?to preserve?food?items. Because?tin?is less reactive than?iron?as it will prevent?food?from being poisoned.

Because we know that iron is more reactive than tin and food contain organic acid so it is easily react with iron and produce poisonous metallic salt which is dangerous for human consumption that cause tin are used to store food instead of iron van

Tin does not corrode like iron and evenly does not react with acids like iron. So it helps in storage for long time...

Metallic food containers are used to be played with less reactive metals. As tin is less reactive than iron it protects these food kept in metallic container so that it doesn't get spoiled

Iron can, can be rusted so tin cans are used

Aluminium can is used

Iron can rusts easily
  • 0
Because TIN do not react easily.... It is one of the least reactive metals.... Where as iron (Fe) reacts very fastly and if food items are stored in it, it'll react with them and make them poisonous
  • 0
Tin is a non-reactive metal whereas iron is a reactive metal. If food is stored in an iron container, it might react with iron and get spoiled. Hence, tin is electroplated on iron to make cans used for storing food. Electroplating tin makes the container non-reactive and look better.

Antibodies (also known as Immunoglobulins) are proteins. They bind to any foreign organisms like viruses, bacteria, and fungus and further stimulate our immune system to release toxins that may kill these organisms. These are released by B- lymphocytes of the human body.?

An antibody is a Y-shaped structure comprising four polypeptides i.e. two heavy chains and two light chains. The structure is such so as to allow the antibodies to perform their dual functions of?antigen binding and mediation of biological activity.?
