why vacuoles absent in plasmolysed cell? Xpln in details.

Dear student,
Vacuoles are absent in plasmolysed cell because in the process of plasmolysis the plant cell losses water when kept in hypertonic solution. This loss of water or solvent occurs from the plant cell vacuole and cytoplasm. Therefore the plant cell cytoplasm and the vacuole they start shrinking in this condition and finally gets absent or reduced in this state.
