In boys , the voice box can be sen as a protruding part of the throat.

At puberty the voice box of the boys starts developing larger . The growing voice in the boys can be seen. In girls, the laryx is hardly visible from outside because its small in size. Voice box is present both girls as well as boys.

Under the influence of sex hormones,the voice box,larynx grows in both sexes.This growth is far more prominent in boys than the girls and issue more easily perceived.
