why was rutherfords atomic model was rejected

According to the Rutherford model - electrons revolve around an oppositely charged nucleus. It is known that a particle revolving around an oppositely charged center will lose energy continuously. Therefore according to the Rutherford model electrons will lose energy while revolving around the nucleus and would ultimately collapse.

Rutherford model also could not explain the line spectrum exhibited by hydrogen atom.

Thus, ultimately Rutherford model of atom was rejected.

because he could not explain stability of atoms

as hi failed to explain th position of electrons with respect to each other & the positively charged nucleus
