why was the national convention dominate by th committee of public safety ?

The Committee of Public Safety was created by the National Convention in April 1793 as the executive branch of the revolutionary French government. During the time, France was facing foreign wars and internal rebellion againt the revolution. Hence, this was a critical time for the French revolution. To face these problems, the National Convention gave the committee very broad powers. The committee had power over the ​military, judicial, and legislative functions of National Convention. Due to such a wide array of powers, the Committe of Public Safety dominated the National Convention.
