Why was there a need for men to be more aggressive, masculine and strong after the first world war in Europe

Dear Student

The First World War had left a deep imprint on European society and polity. It  had devastating impact on entire continent both psychologically and financially. Soldiers came to be placed above civilians. Politicians and publicists laid great stress on need for men to be aggressive, strong and masculine.
Children were taught to be loyal and submissive, hate Jews, and worship Hitler. Sports were used to nurture a spirit of violence and aggression among children. Hitler believed that boxing could make children iron hearted, strong and masculine.
