Why water has been included as a part of fundamental right to life
Dear Student,
Under Article 21 "Right to life" "Right to water" has been taken under by the Constitution of India. Under this article every person has the right to have the sufficient amount of water in affordable price to fulfil their basic needs. This is known as Universal Access of water. Water is very essential part of life. we need water for various activities like drinking, bathing, washing etc. But water should be clean otherwise we can have water born diseases like cholera, diarrhoea etc. And according to the law of the land, the right to safe drinking water is fundamental right.
