Why we learn and understand idioms,simile and metaphors

Dear Student,
Idioms, similes and metaphors are types of figurative language that are used to create imagery. They are used to create more vivid and life-like qualities through words. Metaphors and similes are specifically used for comparisons to describe things. While idioms are used, not for their literal but indicative meaning, in a sentence.

Idoms, Phrases, Similies are generally being learned to enhance one's writing skills. It could be used in many writing skills such as article writing, speech writing etc. These are the key to get good marks in writing skills in exams. :)
