Will an organism devolve [i.e reverse-evolution] ?

Dear student,

This can be explained on the basis of Dallo's law also known as Dollo's law of irreversibility. It is a hypothesis proposed by Louis Dollo,  who was a  French-born Belgian palaeontologist, According to this,  evolution. is not reversible. This means none of the any evolutionary stage can be reversed back after a change. Thus, an  organism is unable to return, even partially, to a previous stage which is already found in ancestors.

Regards.
