With reference to "The Sermon at Benares" comment if the story or the sermon is against the feelings of a mother for her child. Explain with appropriate reason

Solution
The sermon by the Buddha is not against the feelings of a mother for her child. The story preaches the temporality of life. Kisa Gotami had lost her only child. Her grief as a mother was insurmountable and she was unable to accept her loss. However, no matter how overwhelming the grief of a lost husband, a lost brother, or a lost child is, acceptance is the key to living on. Buddha's sermon makes Gotami realise that death is inevitable and is the only certain thing. Therefore, the sermon does not undermine the love of a mother, it rather helps her accept the harsh reality of life.
