with the help of labelled diagram describe an activity to separate a mixture containing ammoniun chloride and salt

We can seperate a mixture of ammonium chloride and sodium chloride by the process of sublimation as follows:-

As a result sodium chloride will left on the china disha nd ammonium chloride will sublime

thumbs up if u like it

Ammonium Chloride can be separated from salt by sublimation of ammonium chloride and salt where, ammonium chloride sublimes leaving behind salt.

Take a mixture of common salt and ammonium chloride in a china dish. Place this china dish on a tripod stand and cover the dish by inverting a funnel over it. The funnel should be plugged on the top with cotton to prevent the vapours of ammonium chloride from escaping into the atmosphere. Heat the china dish using a burner.

O n heating, ammonium chloride sublimes. As a result, ammonium chloride gets separated from common salt and solidifies on the cold walls of the funnel.

Hope this helps.

So freinds now the diagram is here:-
Ok
*TO SEPARATE A MIXTURE OF COMMON SALT AND AMMONIUM CHLORIDE:-
STEPS * The mixture of common salt and ammonium chloride is taken in a china dish and placed on a tripod stand
* The china dish is covered with an inverted glass funnel.
* A loose cotton plug is put in the upper, open end of funnel to prevent ammonium chloride vapours from escaping into atmosphere.
*The china dish is heated by using a burner . On heating the mixture, the ammonium chloride changes into white vapours . These vapours rise up and gets converted into solid ammonium chloride .
*These vapours get condensed by coming in contact with cold inner sides of funnel.
* In this way , pure ammonium chloride collects on inner sides of funnel in form of a sublimate and can be removed
* in this way mixtute is separated into pure ammonium chloride and left behind salt...
Plzzz cheers upp
