Dear sir,

Subject: Lack of maintenance of roads and uncleanliness in the locality.

Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper,I would like to draw the attention of the concerned authorities towards the bad conditions of roads and the uncleanliness in the XYZ locality.

There is an increase in the number of accidents in our locality due to bad road conditions. The roads are not well lit with street lights which causes problem in driving during the darker hours of the day. There are large pits in the roads that causes imbalance of wheel while driving. There are also speed breakers on the road causing inconvenience. Another problem is that of garbage lying on the roadsides which attract flies and mosquitoes. During the monsoon season, the water gets clogged in the road pits. Such unhygienic conditions have made our locality a breeding house of several diseases.

I would request the authorities to look into the matter and take on the regulatory measures to improve the present conditions. Their efforts in this regard would be appreciated by everyone.
