Write 7 4-digit numbers, which are divisible by 3, using the digits 4,5,9 & 0 only once.

The given digits are 4, 5, 9, 0.

We know that a number is divisible by 3 if the sum of the digits of the number is divisible by 3.

We see that 4 + 5 + 9 + 0 = 18 which is divisible by 5.

Hence, the numbers can be formed by using the digits 4, 5, 9, 0 as :

(1) 4590

(2) 4509

(3) 4950

(4) 4905

(5) 4059

(6) 4095

(7) 9540

(8) 9045 etc.

it is simple for any no. to be divisible by 3 the sum of the digits of the no's should be one of the multiples of 3

eg.(i) 522 is divisible by 3 since 5+2+2=9 which is a multiple of 3 this trick works for all multiples not only 9
