Dear Diary,
Today was one of the delightful days of my life. One of my classmates, Smita rejoined the school after almost a month. She lost a close member of her family and was totally devastated. Smita was attached to that person very much. Apart from that, she could not come to the school. So we all decided to give her a warm welcome and a surprise from our part. We requested our class teacher and head master to grant us the permission for the celebration. They happily agreed to it. We decorated the whole room with balloons. We also arranged for a chocolate cake. All the students from our class took part in this celebration. As soon as she entered the room, she was left astonished with a warm round of applause. She was awestruck after seeing such grand decorations. She cut the cake and divided it among all of us. She was almost left in tears out of so much happiness. Every student felt happy for her and it felt good to get her back again. The class teacher gave er a hug and assured her to help her with her studies. We spent the whole day performing different co-curricular activities. It will be a memorable day for all of us.
