Subject: Increasing Stress Faced By The Students

I am an avid reader of your newspaper and through the columns of your esteemed daily newspaper, I wish to draw the attention of the parents as well as the general public to the neglect of the increased stress faced by the students.

Stress is the bodies natural response to challenges. When a student experiences high levels of stress or chronic stress, regardless of her age or grade, it can interfere with her ability to learn, memorize, and earn good grades as well as lead to poor physical, emotional and mental health. By learning about common stressors, a parent can help to mitigate negative or chronic stress in a child’s life.

I would like to appeal to the parents to take care of their children by keeping a check on their sleeping habits. Teachers should give comparatively less homework to students. Students should also be given a free time so that they can get to know themselves on their good and bad qualities. Parents should also be concerned  about their child's eating habits. If simple rules of maintaining a relaxed mind in children are observed it would make a big difference.

I request you to publish this letter to create awareness among the citizens and also to draw the attention of the concerned parents to take necessary actions.

Thank you

Yours Sincerely
Shruti Sharma
