write a letter to the editor of newspaper regarding the food security in india

Such questions are meant to test your writing skills and should be attempted on your own. However, these points might help you elaborate:
- India has made great progress in the economic and social fronts.
- Despite progress in many fields, India has not been able to provide food security to all its citizens.
- Food security in a country implies a reliable supply of food and the masses' access to it.
- There are many requirements of achieving food security: production of food, storage of grains and cereals, its distribution, maintaining enough stock to avoid crunch at times of shortage.
- Droughts may cause famines that hit hard at food security; poor distribution system and storage facilities in India too lead to wastage of food.
- The poor cannot afford to buy enough nutritious food and their number is quite high in India.

Dear Editor: Oh, to live in Derby and enjoy the luxury of a 10 day wait for rubbish collection over Christmas and New Year. Residents of Woking are less fortunate with no collection of waste for our household between 13th December and 9th January. For food waste the delay was 14 days.

Derby is to be praised, not ridiculed.
