- Write a method by which lyophobic colloids can be saturated .
Dear Student,
It should be coagulated instead of saturated.
The coagulation of a lyophobic colloid can be achieved by mixing two oppositely charged sols. When oppositely charged sols are mixed with each other, their charges are neutralised and as a result, precipitation occurs. For eg. lyophobic colloid can be coagulated by mixing ferric hydroxide (positive sol) and arsenious sulphide (negative sol).
