Karta is the eldest member of the HUF. He takes all the decisions regarding business matter. He has unlimited liability. He is the sole decision maker and his decision prevails over others.

Karta is the elderest membere of family. He takes all decision and is authorised to menage the business. Only the karta has limited liablity. There is no impact of business even after the death of karta the next elder member would be considered as karta. As karta individually menages the business its decisions may at times not acceptable to other members. This may led to conflicts between them. Some times as karta is not expert in all areas of menegment due to wrong decisions the business may suffer
