Write a paragraph on Tropical Rainforests.

The tropical rainforest is a hot, moist biome found near Earth's equator. The world's largest tropical rainforests are in South America, Africa, and Southeast Asia. Tropical rainforests receive from 60 to 160 inches of precipitation that is fairly evenly distributed throughout the year. The combination of constant warmth and abundant moisture makes the tropical rainforest a suitable environment for many plants and animals.

A tropical rainforest is an ecosystem type that occurs roughly within the latitudes 28 degrees north or south of the equator (in the equatorial zone between the Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn). This ecosystem experiences high average temperatures and a significant amount of rainfall. The tropical rainforest biome is an ecosystem that covers about 7% of the Earth's surface. They are found all over the world but the majority of the tropical rainforest lies in South America in Brazil. The weather in the tropical rainforest is rainy yet pleasant all year round, day or night.A Rainforest can be described as a tall, dense jungle. The reason it iscalled a "rain" forest is because of the high amount of rainfall it gets per year. The climate of a rain forest is very hot and humid so the animals and plants that exist there must learn to adapt to this climate.Tropical rainforests are forests with tall trees, warm climates, and lots ofrain. In some rainforests it rains more than one inch nearly every day of the year! Rainforests are found in Africa, Asia, Australia, and Central and South America. The largest rainforest in the world is the Amazonrainforest in South America.

TROPICAL RAINFORESTS ARE RICH HABITATS FOR A HUGE VARIETY OF PLANTS AND ANIMALS. A RAINFOREST IS WARM AND STICKY, WITH FREQUENT DOWNPOURS. THE TREE TAKE UP MUCH OF THE RAIN, BUT WATER VAPOUR SOON EVAPORATES FROM THEIR LEAVES, FILLING THE AIR WITH MOISTURE.TROPICAL RAINFORESTS COVER JUST 7% OF EARTH'S LAND, YET CONTAIN OVER HALF OF THE WORLD'S SPECIES. IT IS LIKE A BLOCK OF FLATS, WITH DIFFERENT RESIDENTS AT DIFFERENT LAYERS. THERE ARE FOUR MAIN LEVELS. EMERGENTS, CANOPY, UNDERSTOREY AND FOREST FLOOR. IN MOUNTAINOUS AREAS, RAINFORESTS MAY BE SO HIGH THAT THEY ARE CLOAKED IN CLOUDS. THE HEAVY MOISTURE ENCOURAGES LUSH PLANT GROWTH.

Tropical region has generally a hot climate because of its location around the equator. Even in the coldest month the temperature is generally higher than 15 degrees. During hot summers, the temperature may cross 40 degrees. An important feature of this region is the tropical rainforests. Because of the continuous warmth and rain, this region supports a wide variety of plants and animals. The major types of plants and animals living in the rainforests are monkeys, apes, gorillas, tigers, elephants, leopards, lizards, snakes, birds and insects.
